What is Seborrheic Dermatitis or Dandruff?


Seborrheic dermatitis is one of the common skin disease, which usually affects scalps. It causes redness, itchy rashes, flakes, scaly patches. If it affects the scalp with redness and scaly flakes, it’s called dandruff. Dandruff is a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis can also affect oily areas of other body areas such as face chest eyelid etc.



What are the causes of Seborrheic dermatitis or Dandruff?

The actual cause still unclear, however, it's believed that genetic factors and environmental factors may cause the conditions to reoccur or to worse the conditions. Hence we can enlist possible causes as per below

WHAT IS CORONA DISEASE or nCOVID 19? HOW TO PREVENT CORONA INFECTION?


Corona Disease are acute respiratory infectious disease caused by a type of Virus called CORONA VIRUS. This disease was first diagnosed in 2019 in Wuhan City, China, hence it named as COVID 19 ( Corona Virus Disease 19). These virus includes in large family of viruses which causes respiratory illness ranging from common cold to sever diseases like MERS ( Middle Ease Respiratory Syndrome) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Where did nCOVID 19 virus came from?


nCovid 19 or noval Corona Virus was first discovered in December 2019, in Wuhan city , China. As per the information and reports available till now, these are commonly found in animal bodies, like mammals (bats and ant eaters etc). In rare cases it spreads to human body from animals. It is believed that covid 19 also came from animal (ant eater) to humans as per the details available now.

What is Laboratory Tests or Investigations?


Laboratory tests or investigations are medical tools to determine the health conditions or for the diagnosis of a disease or as a normal check by taking the samples of blood, urine, body fluids, tissues or by using radiological methods like X RAY, CT Etc. These type of tests are now become a common incident in every persons life, hence understanding the basics of these test are necessary not to avoid professional health advice but for basic understanding and also to avoid unwanted expenses and worries.

Why physicians are prescribing laboratory investigations? What are the uses?


  • To diagnose or to rule out some diseases.
  • As a normal health checkup to prevent any diseases and to understand general body health.
  • To monitor a disease.
  • To know the progress of ongoing treatment or to plan a treatment.

Some tests shows false positive and negative or sometime some slight variations also will be there depending upon the test materials used. Hence all the lab reports must be evaluated by considering the conditions of the patient signs and symptoms clinical examination findings.

What is Padmasana or Lotus posture? how this word comes?


Padmasana or Lotus Position is one of the basic sitting posture described in ancient texts. The word comes from two Sanskrit words Padmam+ Asana = Lotus + Positions. In the ancient texts, the symbolism of lotus flower mentioned growth towards perfection and enlightenment as it rooted from the bottom of the pond and emerging as a beautiful flower. The same as practicing this posture will help the body to alleviate the diseases, helps to make the mind calm and helps to brighten the same as lotus. It is one of the stable postures hence used commonly for meditation and pranayama. It also helps to awaken the Kundalini energy.

It is a cross-legged sitting posture in which one foot placed on the top of opposite thighs with its sole facing upwards and heel close to the abdomen, both heels should be placed symmetrically. In this position, the hip will be open.

It is one of the easiest and basic Asana/posture in Yoga. It is also called as Thunderbolt posture or diamond posture or adamantine posture. In Yoga almost all postures are performed on empty stomach or 3 hours after the meal except few postures like Vajrasana. This is one of asana can perform immediately after food as it help for good digestion.
